In the world of golf, change remains a constant with top players constantly being switched out. While getting to the top is a beautiful journey, the downward decline is just as difficult to get through. Players like veteran Michelle Wie West as well as current LPGA golfers like Nelly Koda, Lexi Thompson, and many others have been on this turbulent journey of highs and lows.

On this downward journey right now is former world number one Lydia Ko. This year has been especially difficult for the professional golfer who has not been able to keep herself at the top of the Rolex World Rankings.

Lydia Ko has not seen a win in a while, but sadly, she has seen downslopes in her performances. She has not had the best season this year. However, problems are still not behind the golfer.

After her fall from grace comes her fall in two more stats – strokes gained total and strokes gained putting. This was brought to the attention of fans and the golfing community by Justin Ray.

Ray took to Twitter to tweet, “Ko led the LPGA Tour last season in both strokes gained total and strokes gained putting. She’s 78th and 88th in those two statistics this season.”

This fall has just added to the gravity of her dropping off the top 10 list. The BMW Ladies Championship has, however, brought out new hope for the golfer who looks forward to defending her title this year.
