There is always a period for any athlete where their career takes a slump. No matter what they do, their game lacks the spark that they hope for. Sometimes the period lasts longer than they expect. This has been the case for two well-known golfers.
Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko are two of the most prominent players in the women’s league. Despite being elite players, they have not been performing very well of late. However, it seems they will soon receive a chance to redeem themselves.

There is always an electrifying movement when both men and women come together for any event. The new Grand Thornton Invitational offers just that, where top players from the PGA Tour and LPGA are coming together to claim the trophy in December. And obviously, Ko will also be there.
Ko’s standing has considerably declined this year. She held the top spot at the beginning of the LPGA season. In February, she placed T6 at the Honda LPGA Thailand. After that, she doesn’t have a particularly strong finish. She hasn’t had a win this year and hasn’t placed in the top 10 in any of the majors. She fell in the rankings as a result and is currently in 12th place.
However, she will soon have the opportunity to advance in her position. The fifth pairing for the Grand Thornton Invitational was just made public on Instagram. Jason Day and Ko have partnered up. An Instagram post about the same was captioned thus: ”Jason Day and Lydia Ko are locked in and ready to team up at the Grant Thornton Inv!”

The duo appears to be quite potent. And we are looking forward to seeing Ko once again among the top ten golfers. But she will have to face Korda, who is also on her redemption journey.

LPGA cover girl Korda went MIA after her game in the Solheim Cup. In single matches, Korda was up against Carlota Ciganda. But the match was sealed by Ciganda at 2–1. The matches clearly upset Korda, who just went off the radar to focus on herself more.

The American sweetheart will be back on the field again in December to claim the win she deserves. She is paired up with Tony Finau. This tournament will be a golden opportunity for Korda to prove herself, just like her tennis player brother Sebastian Korda did in the Rolex Shanghai Masters.
