Ever since the talk about the $3 billion merger began, speculations about the future of LIV Golf and the PGA Tour as individual tours have been around. The Tour’s schedule for 2024 also raised concerns about its adaptation of a LIV-like style, and there was some disapproval. This time, though, it’s Greg Norman’s league that is facing some feedback about how it’s proceeding with the sport.

A recent tweet from LIV Golf about its upcoming Chicago event and a subsequent quote-tweet have sparked a massive debate amongst fans. It also has the golf community raising questions and debating updates about where the Saudi Tour is headed and how things are going to be post-merger.

LIV Golf’s official Twitter handle recently posted a tweet promoting the LIV Chicago event, with Brooks Koepka as it’s face, captioned “2 Weeks to go!” In response to that, the Twitter page ‘Flushing It’ has spoken about what lies ahead for LIV Golf.

The schedule of LIV Golf’s 2023 regular season has only two events left, including the Chicago event. The Team Championship event in Miami will follow the regular season, and then it will be time for the 2024 season to get started. Hence Flushing It complained about how there was no update on what next year’s league was going to be like.

“One of the biggest criticisms of LIV has been that the golf “doesn’t mean anything,” and it’s not hard to see why when the communication about the concepts is so bad.” The page vented about how LIV Golf is about teams and making the sport better for fans, but on the other hand, they fail to follow up with updates for their own fans.

With the Chicago event getting over in a couple of weeks and two more events scheduled for October, it really is the end of the season. While there are expectations for an announcement during or at the end of the Chicago event, fans are already restless.

The comment section took an active part in the conversation and pointed out some interesting angles. Some comments received counter-arguments as well. Let’s see what the fans think about LIV Golf’s attitude towards promoting their league.

Fans question LIV Golf asking if golf means anything to them

The comments were mostly critical of LIV Golf. Fan opinions pointed in the direction that LIV isn’t taking golf seriously. However, there were some comments trying to take a neutral stand as well.

One comment suggested that the LIV Golf management should start a television channel of their own.

Another comment sounded optimistic about getting a big announcement soon.

This fan took a dystopian approach toward guessing the future of LIV Golf. And a comment in response questioned the amount of research that backed up the comment.

One user took an intellectual approach. It suggested that maybe what LIV has in mind for the future doesn’t require more effort than already put into the league.

Annother commenter got so confused and philosophical, and it shows.

One fan took the time to sum up the comment section and take the discussion further. They raised the important question of whether an announcement would drop in Chicago or after the Ryder Cup. The page responded with their thoughts as well.
