LIV Golf has been under fire ever since its inception but the Saudi league has persevered through all the backlash that it has received so far from the golf fraternity. As compared to the Saudi league’s first season in 2022, the 2023 season has been a way better one in terms of acceptance, accolades, and popularity. 

But, roadblocks of one kind or another still exist for LIV Golf and its players, even after the famous merger in June earlier this year. But amidst all of the roadblocks, the latest update for the upcoming Chicago event is sure to bring smiles to the league’s fans! 

LIV Golf shares an exciting update about one of its upcoming event

The LIV Golf is returning to the course after almost 5 weeks. The event is scheduled to take place from September 22 to September 24 at Rich Harvest Farms. After the aforementioned event, just a Jeddah-based event, and the league’s Team Championship would be left on the schedule.

With preparations for the events going on in full swing, the latest update about the season’s finale has surfaced that is sure to leave fans cheerful. In Miami, during the Team Championship at Trump National Doral, renowned DJ Alesso will be performing, to be precise, on October 21.

The championship is scheduled from October 20 to October 22. The news was confirmed by the official page of the Saudi-funded league on Instagram. The league urged the fans to book their tickets to witness the magic as only few tickets are available for the upcoming show.

The news comes amidst a lot of recent setbacks for the league, especially in relation to the upcoming 44th edition of the Ryder Cup.

LIV Golf has been surrounded by a lot of controversies and roadblocks recently 

Brooks Koepka’s selection in the American squad was a big sigh of relief for the Saudi league. However, there could have been more LIV golfers representing the league like Bryson DeChambeau, and Dustin Johnson.

DJ recently opened up about not playing so well this season, but he also mentioned that if he was on the PGA Tour, he would have made it to the Ryder Cup team. Another controversy that has been a major setback for the league was Phil Mickelson’s betting incident (alleged) during the 2012 Ryder Cup. Seeing a piece of good news from LIV Golf after so many hindrances is indeed bound to make the fans happy!
