Team Europe announced the auto selections of Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. A few days later, Viktor Hovland joined the ranks and proved himself worthy by claiming back-to-back FedEx Cup titles. Team USA already has the auto spots filled. But the Captain’s picks are highly anticipated. Among the auto selections is Max Homa, the funny man of golf.
Max Homa expresses heartfelt sentiment for the end of the season

The Ryder Cup is scheduled for a month from now at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Italy. Max Homa was the 5th golfer to secure an auto spot in the biennial event. The pro golfer had a terrific season with three wins, including the match play at the Presidents Cup and several top-10 finishes.
With his T5, T6, and T9 respectively at the three FedEx Cup Playoffs, he capped the 2022-23 season on a relatively high note. Now all that remains is to conquer the team dynamics at Ryder Cup. On that note, he added a heartfelt message to his fans and peers on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Best season to date has come to a close but there’s room for improvement. Incredibly excited to represent the US at the Ryder Cup in a few weeks! I want to thank everyone for all the support and positive messages this year. U guys make this life a lot of fun,” he wrote.
The Spicy Meatball, as Homa DOES NOT likes to be called, has always shared his humble yet witty remarks with his fans. However, this touching message from the American golfer won over his admirers yet again.

With the Ryder Cup approaching, his compatriots have shared their plans for their preparation and mindset. The month can’t pass quickly enough for golf fans to witness the greats in attendance at the biennial event.
What to expect for the 2023 Ryder Cup selections?
While 3 out of 6 members qualifying through auto spots in Team Europe are finalized, there’s still room for three more. Tommy Fleetwood is expected to take one of the remaining spots, while the two others will be decided soon. Additionally, the 6 Captain’s picks will be announced next week on 4th September at 14:00 hours.

The Team US has already filled the 6 auto spots with Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Max Homa, Xander Schauffele, Brian Harman, and Patrick Cantlay. Captain Zach Johnson has yet to announce his picks.
Whether or not fan favorites Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa, and others will make that exclusive list will be announced on 29th August.
