The game of golf is a rollercoaster ride. Every golfer goes through their ups and downs and through those phases, one needs steadfast support to come out victorious. That person for Collin Morikawa is his wife, Katherine Zhu Morikawa.

Collin Morikawa successfully ended his 27-month-long drought by winning the ZOZO Championship. Without his wife’s support, he could not have come as far as he did. Katherine took to Instagram after the win and shared her pride in her husband.

Collin Morikawa came out of a slump that lasted 27 months by winning the ZOZO Championship in Japan. With 14-under 266, he had a bogey-free 4th round. His last triumph was in 2021 at the DP World Tour Championship. This was his 6th PGA Tour title, and he had won two majors.

Winning the event was special as Japan is home to his paternal grandparents and his wife was present in the gallery supporting him. Morikawa appreciated her being there and said, “It’s been a long time since she’s actually been at the tournament since we won, so it’s nice to have her here.”

Katherine had been there throughout Collin’s career slump and had given him a kiss before he went to hit the 18th hole. After the win, she took to Instagram to share how proud she was of her husband and his hard work.
