Hull is currently looking to come out on top in the Kroger Queen City Championship being held at Kenwood Country Club. But as per her social media post from just hours ago, the LPGA star’s eyes seem to be focused on a different prize along with the $2 million purse!

Charley Hull enters the weekend bearing hope

The golf world is on the edge of their seats as the tournament goes into the weekend rounds in Cincinnati. But Hull has something else on her mind along with the title and the $300,000 prize money as she takes to the greens on the last two rounds in a bid to reach the top of the leaderboard.

The LPGA icon shared a post on her Instagram handle not too long ago expressing her excitement about going back to her home. The photo shows the golfer mid-swing with a caption pointing out her place on the scoreboard at the ongoing championship along with the number of “sleeps [nights] until she is on the big bird flying home”. The post shows her wish to return home while aiming for a good spot in the tournament.

Earlier, in a press conference, the 2X LPGA Tour winner opened up about her love for family and friends back in England while mentioning how she feels a bit lonely far away in America. Moreover, the 27-year-old was seen visibly excited with the prospect of going home to Europe in order to play in the Solheim Cup.

Well, it is not a surprise to see athletes missing their homes when away on a mission to win the tournaments. Moreover, a true golfer like Hull would not let such feelings of loneliness hamper her performance on the greens. A fan went ahead to hilariously comment how he is “married” to a big bird. The LPGA pro was quick to acknowledge and respond to the joke. “This made me chuckle,” she wrote.

A group of fans expressed their admiration for the golfer’s performance in the ongoing championship. Moreover, they also went ahead to wish her the best in the coming rounds: “Great round young lady from Wayne your Aussie fan and friend x”, and “Great play today!! I’m wishing you lots of luck on Saturday & Sunday!”

A guy named Ken Padgett went ahead to let the LPGA Tour Pro know how he found the interview that she gave. Moreover, he ended it with a wish of luck, all the while cheering for her: “Ken Padgett….I watched you today. You were great, and I liked your interview. Good luck on the weekend! I am cheering for you! ❤️❤️⛳️⛳️”

There were fans who cheered her on as they commented on the post: “Nice playing Charley”, “GO GIRL !!!”, and “Give ‘em hell giro”.

Another fan expressed his desire to see the golfer fly back home with the win as he went ahead to comment, “Flying home a winner 🥇”.
