You might have noticed how fathers play the caddie’s role for their children. It is, of course, a gesture of support and love, but there is more to it. A caddie knows the nuances of the game, and the golf courses well. They are often observant and function as consultants for brainstorming. But can they play golf themselves?
To honor their presence in the sport, LIV Golf had organized a Caddie Championship that would lead to the Jeddah event. The caddies of LIV Golf team members took part in the team event, covering nine holes of a four-man-scramble night game. After the results were out, Jena Sims joined the conversation to engage with her husband, Brooks Koepka’s team.

Brooks Koepka’s Smash GC team recently posted a picture on their Instagram handle. The team’s four golfers and their caddies posed for the picture after the Caddie Championship was over. Smash GC finished the evening as the Runner-up team.
The photo’s caption read, “It was a valiant effort, but the @ironheadsgc_ passed us in the playoff. #SmashGC caddies take 2nd in @livgolf_league Caddie Team Championship. Great fun going into Jeddah this week!”
Jena Sims cheered the boys up for missing out on the title win. She enthusiastically commented, “Good looking lads,” under the picture announcing her pride and support for the team. While her husband is busy in Jeddah, the new mother has been spending her alone time leisurely, as her Instagram would suggest.

Caddies Ricky Elliott, Ryan Fricker, David Robinson, and Nick Heinen were also in the picture. Dan Gambill, a friend of the Koepka brothers and a former caddie to Chase Koepka, was also present in the photo.

Like Captain Brooks Koepka, his caddie, Ricky Elliott also took up the responsibility of lifting the team’s spirit up before the game. He totally embraced the fan-favorite tag ahead of the challenge. He felt nobody could beat them, really.
Elliott spoke about how they had a good mix between the four. He praised Nick Heinen and revealed that he could hit a mile and was a good player.
Elliott then moved on to David Robinson and estimated that he would be good from 100 yards in. He also mentioned Chase Koepka’s caddie and explained that he plays for the Challenge Tour.
