This year despite her not winning a single tournament, Thompson has been selected to play in next week’s Solheim Cup due to her 25th ranking on the Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking. And the 11-time LPGA winner understands that she has an enormous responsibility on her shoulders.
Her captain Stacy Lewis has said that Thompson’s previous experiences with the Cup are an enormous asset. She expressed that Lexi would be an immense help to the team of younger girls. With so many people relying on her shoulders, Thompson is choosing to keep herself motivated.
She will be spending the next 5 days at her home, but instead of taking a break, Thompson will be continuously practicing. With her latest Instagram post, Lexi has given her fans a preview of her hard work before the event. She has posted two videos from the green in which she is practicing on her swings.

Motivated 🇺🇸” It is evident that Thompson is acutely aware of her current situation and is willing to work hard and improve her situation, a shining quality for which even Lewis praised her.
