Just hours ago, the Ryder Cup captain, Zach Johnson, announced his highly anticipated wildcard entries for the prestigious tournament. In a live press conference, he announced Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, and Sam Burns to be on the team.

Spiranac quickly shared her own views on the selection. Sharing a video on her Twitter account, she named all the players chosen by Zach and gave a special shot out to Thomas. She said, “One that has been a little bit of a surprise for some people on social media is Justin Thomas. I think it makes so much sense.”

She also shared her enthusiasm for Team USA and predicted that they would bring the Cup home. She continued, “I am excited for this team. I think they are going to win.”

Thomas is sure to find a good friend in Spiranac. While the 30-year-old was among the most likely players who would be selected as captain’s pick, many people were against this idea given the decline in his form.
