The 2024 edition of the Masters will be starting in just 14 days. It will be a scintillating start to the series of four majors. But before the big event starts at the Augusta National, there will be a three-day event encompassing a tough competition for the women amateurs. The 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateurs will be running for four days, however, only 54 holes will be played, and one day will be reserved for a practice round.

The two events will be held in back-to-back weeks and golf enthusiasts will be excited to watch both the games. However, there arises confusion about whether buying the tickets for the Masters will also allow the spectators to enjoy the Women’s Amateur.

Yes, there are tickets for the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and no, the tickets for the 2024 Masters will not suffice for watching the Women’s Amateur. Though both events are sanctioned by the same organization, a ticket to one does not become eligible for another. Usually, Augusta National starts accepting ticket applications for the Women’s Amateur held at the Champions Retreat Golf Club for the first two days and held at the Augusta National GC for the last day, a year prior to the Masters.

Likely, this was followed this year as well. The applications for the tickets were received between June 1 – June 20, 2023. In late July, the applicants were informed if they were selected to process the tickets and make the payments. An applicant of age 21 and over with two tickets per application and one application per household was made eligible. The first two days bear no cost, however, the final day ticket was priced at $100 per account made.

Per the official website of Augusta National Women’s Amateur, all the tickets for the event have been pre-allotted and sold out. Additionally, no other tickets will be available at the gates of the two courses. Though it was not a lottery system, Augusta National stated it as a pre-qualification for those persons wishing to purchase tickets to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.”

All in all, the time for purchasing the ticket has run out and the tickets have been pre-sold. There will always be a next time, so be cognizant of the 2025 event. However, those who did not get selected or were unable to buy the tickets shouldn’t be disheartened. You can enjoy the 2024 ANWA and watch it on the TV without missing a second.
