Pat Perez and Anthony Kim have history together. They almost fought on course in the past. So, when they met in the practice round at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, no one left unscathed. It was all in good humor, though.
Netizens, however, found an opportunity to take a dig at the 4Aces veteran. Some of them believe that Kim would be a better addition to the team than the 47-year-old. But what did Kim and Perez talk about in the first place?
Pat Perez can’t believe Anthony Kim is finally back

Perez has been playing at LIV Golf for three years now. But it was Anthony Kim who got the better of him first. “They let you out here?” quipped the 38-year-old. Perez responded, “I was going to ask you the same thing.” Further, pointing to Kim’s casual outfit, Perez joked, “Thanks for dressing up.”

Now, Perez and Kim go way back. In fact, Perez was one of the few golfers who were in touch with Anthony Kim as recently as 2019. In an interview, the 47-year-old said, “He was one of the most talented players I’ve ever seen doing nothing.” Why did he leave then? Pat Perez had his theory. “I don’t think he loved it (golf). He had a total ‘f**k you’ attitude. He didn’t give a s**t anybody on the course.”
Adding further, the three-time PGA Tour winner revealed that attitude almost caused a fight between them. “He loves to run his mouth. We fired back and forth.” Apparently, things got ugly too then, but since tee time was approaching, both left it at that! A month later, surprisingly, all was back to normal.

Perez perhaps wanted to roll back the years but got roasted at the hands of Kim’s fans. Interestingly, Perez joined LIV Golf for a reported $10 million, around the same amount Greg Norman spent on the comeback hero. And only one of them last played in 2012, as some fans were quick to point out.
Perez was at the butt end of ridicule from Kim’s fans
Perez and Kim have some similarities. Both have three titles on the Tour. Both loved to party hard. Perez, however, couldn’t come near Kim’s success on the course, which became a talking point among fans.
Pat Perez was 52nd in the inaugural season at LIV Golf and 28th last season in the individual leaderboard. His last victory came at the 2017 CIMB Classic on the PGA Tour. This fan feels Perez and Kim have one similarity in that regard.
That makes 2 golfers who haven't played competitive golf for 10yrs #birdsofafeather

One fan went further to claim that Anthony Kim has better odds than Perez. Per Oddscheker, Kim is a longshot at +15000 for the silverware. Perez is even farther away, at +25000.
How does Fat Perez feel knowing Kim’s book odds are better to win than his own. Kim hasn’t played in 12 years lololol.

Some fans want Kim at Dustin Johnson‘s 4Aces GC, no less. Interestingly, Johnson spoke in favor of the former PGA Tour pro, Greg Norman.
Let’s go. Hopefully he joins 4Aces next season https://t.co/XHCm4zH2oY

But if he joins 4Aces, someone has to leave the roster. This fan believes Pat Perez will be axed if Anthony Kim moves in.
AK will probably be taking Pat’s spot on the Four Aces next season

Kim hasn’t appeared with his signature belt buckle on the course. Rather, a baggy t-shirt has been his go-to so far. Some of them totally dug the casual fit, like this fan, for example.
Looks like AK is headed to the skate park!🛹 🤙

LIV Golf Jeddah will tee off on March 1 at the King Abdullah Economic City. Brooks Koepka returns as the defending champion, eying a three-peat. But naturally, Anthony Kim is receiving all the spotlight right now.
