Another Famous County Golf Course Falls Prey to an Unfortunate Bush Fire

Though the residents of New Kent County live a regular humble life, many of its citizens were met with a tragedy in recent days. An apartment in the County was caught in a brush fire this past weekend. Though no casualties were reported, the biggest victims of the blaze were the avid golf admirers in the Town.

New Kent County has been blessed with plenty of golf courses. However one of its prominent fields also caught the heating fire on Sunday. Let’s take a deeper look at what unfolded on the night of February 19th.

An apartment and golf course capture fire in New Kent

The golfers around the County may have to play on other courses around Virginia for the next few months since the burning of their current top golf course. According to WTVR-TV, the brush fire began at 3 am in the morning in a two-storied apartment. At the time of the blaze, the house was occupied by 6 residents.

Nonetheless, the firefighters arrived on the scene at the right time, and rescued the citizens, as no casualties were reported from the tragedy. However, following the rescue, a photo taken by the neighbor of the house in the flames broke the hearts of many golfers around the County. Pinehurst Drive, a notable golf course in New Kent County, was fully engulfed in flames.

In recent months, many golf courses across the United States have also endured the fire. However, they’ve managed to bounce back quicker and stronger. More videos from the incident have surfaced on the internet, showing the home leveled by the fire with just a portion of the brick walls remaining and part of the left side of the structure. The main cause of the fire is still unknown. However, an investigation is currently taking place to find out what sparked the blaze.

Nonetheless, it’s grateful to see no casualties reported from the horror night in New Kent County. While Pinehurst Drive may have to undergo several expenses to fix all its losses, hopefully, it may be covered by insurance. Regardless, the people of the County have shown their robust mentality by fighting the tragedy in town, and soon enough will be back with their golf clubs on Pinehurst Drive again.
