The hits just keep coming for Phil Mickelson. His comments about the Saudi golf league gave rise to a lot of criticism, ultimately leading to sponsors pulling out. Despite his apology, the damage seems to be done.
Starting with KPMG, many more brands seem to have ended their partnership or deals with Mickelson.

Phil Mickelson to lose another sponsor?
Following KPMG and Amstel Light, it seems like Workday has decided not to renew their contract with the 51-year-old. The PGA Tour icon has worked with Workday since 2017, but will no longer work as an ambassador for them. The brand did issue a statement about the same, clarifying that the decision was mutual.

Callaway follows suit; ends ties with Mickelson
Along with Workday, Callaway also announced their decision to end their professional relationship with Mickelson. “Callaway does not condone Phil Mickelson’s comments, and we were very disappointed in his choice of words,” the brand said. They added that the words are against their values, and what they stand for as a company.
Including KMPG and Amstel Light Beer, Mickelson will be losing millions of dollars.

That being said, Mickelson, himself is currently just taking a break from golf. The 2021 PGA Championship winner ‘desperately’ needed time off, and last played Farmers Insurance Open (CUT). Unfortunately, one can only wait as another page of the Mickelson-Saudi-PGA Tour saga unfolds.
