Lexi Thompson has been breaking all the glass ceilings. She is a sensational LPGA Golfer who took the world by storm when she appeared alongside the PGA Tour pros in an event not long ago. Her driving distance is amazing, she outdrives certain male players as well.
Goes without saying that Thompson is a go-getter. The next agenda on her mind and goal list is the Grant Thornton. The event that will commence from December 8th and will end on Dec. 10th. This time she will have a partner who will help her achieve her target. The partner however, is none other than the much-loved golfer Rickie Fowler.

Grant Thornton Invitational has always been a mixed-team golf event. Jessica Korda, a six-time LPGA Tour winner, had originally planned to partner with Rickie Fowler this year. However, life had other plans for the soon-to-be-mother now.
She had to withdraw from the tournament due to her pregnancy as her baby is expected in February. Rickie Fowler has now teamed up with Lexi Thompson, an 11-time LPGA Tour winner at the event set to take place at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples.
The 11-time LPGA Winner is excited about the opportunity and took to her Instagram to express the same. She said: “I am extremely excited to partner with Rickie Fowler at the 2023 Grant Thornton Invitational. Rickie is the ultimate professional and I look forward to a great week alongside him in Naples.”

The tournament will feature three different playing formats: scramble, foursome, and modified four-ball. Fowler and Thompson are one of four confirmed pairs for the event, along with Nelly Korda and Tony Finau, Sahith Theegala and Rose Zhang, and Corey Conners and Brooke Henderson.

Lexi Thompson has made an impressive debut on the PGA Tour at the Shriners Children’s Open in Vegas drawing praise from fellow golfers Jessica Korda, Michelle Wie West, and Jenny Shin.
Thompson’s remarkable performance as well as poise on the greens have garnered widespread attention. Her invitation to the tournament came unexpectedly. This was when the event’s executive director suggested it to Thompson’s agent just two weeks before the event.

Thompson adjusted her plans to accommodate the opportunity. This made her one of the few female players to receive such an invitation to a PGA Tour event, creating a historic moment in women’s golf.
