Daly is known to be one of the best golfers of his generation. With 2 Majors to his name, fans adore the Arkansas-based golfer a lot more for his charisma rather than his achievements on the course.
However, even the best men have their struggles with anger, and the Wild Thing is no exception. John Daly’s short temper has earned quite a reputation in the sport of golf. More so, not even the 7 figure price tag could stop him from displaying his frustration.
Disqualified John Daly trashes his bus
Though Daly is a great golfer, the 2003 season wasn’t a worthy remembrance for Big John. He struggled to make the cut in most events. In 22 starts of the season, Daly failed to make the cut 10 times, while withdrawing from four events. Moreover, he only had a single top-10 finish in 2003.

The underwhelming season only got worse for John Daly during his penultimate tournament of the season. In the 2003 Valero Texas Open, Daly had a great start initially. He scored two under par in the first round, while scoring 65 in the second.
However, the exciting run was brought to an end after Daly released his anger. During one of the holes, the 56-year-old choked an easy putt. After missing the putt, ‘the Wild Thing’ decided to stroke the ball while it was still moving. The commission of the Valero Texas Open was understandably unhappy with the golfer and decided to disqualify him.

Getting disqualified from a tournament after an impressive start didn’t go well with Daly. After returning to his recreational bus, he trashed it down. The bus was reportedly worth $ 1.4 million. But the high price tag didn’t bring in a change in Daly’s mindset.
