The competitive world of golf may be a cut-throat on the face of it. But don’t be fooled by the hostility. Turns out, most of the players actually get along famously, regardless of which circuit they play on or how they are performing. A month ago, the whole controversy about PGA Tour golfers Justin Thomas and Wyndham Clark, emerged where the former was accused of trash-talking the US Open winner.
There are several rampant controversies between golfers on the American and European circuits vs LIV Golfers. Even within the LIV Golf circuit, there are high levels of competition, and one golfer finally expressed his true opinion of his peer Dustin Johnson and his team.

During an interview at LIV Golf Greenbrier, a reporter asked Harold Varner III about his opinion on the 4Aces hat. Varner plays for the RangeGoats GC captained by fellow American golfer Bubba Watson, alongside famous LIV defectors Talor Gooch and Thomas Pieters.
He replied rather jokingly, “I was thinking about burning it. No, I hate the Aces. I like the people.” The former Australian PGA Championship winner went on to explain that technically, the RangeGoats GC has four of the best players and they should be winning. However, they still aren’t winning.
“The people that are beating us, they’ve helped me out a lot, we’ve had some great matches, and I just don’t want to lose to them again,” he said. To be fair, the RangeGoats GC hasn’t had a good run in the past. However, they seem to be coming into their own in the past couple of matches, including the LIV Golf Greenbrier event.
Dustin Johnson who is captaining the 4Aces GC is seeing his team behind the RangeGoats. Fans would very much like to know what DJ has to say about Varner wanting to burn his team’s hat. His team consisting of Patrick Reed, Pat Perez, and Peter Uihlein has been performing well. They led the rankings last year and so far, the players are going steady.

The peer relationships in LIV Golf
The camaraderie that Varner talks about is a prevalent theme on the Saudi-backed circuit. The teams play well with each other and get along splendidly with their competitors as well.
On many occasions, several LIV golfers including Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and others have shared how the bond between peers on the Saudi-PIF’s circuit is more familial than friendly. They help each other. The ‘no cut’ system is also helpful since there is competition but the fewer number of players ensures less hostility.
