LIV Golf has been posing a great threat to the PGA Tour ever since Greg Norman launched it. After bringing in several players from the tour, the Saudi league was in it for everything. However, there was one thing that was stopping them from matching the PGA Tour on levels of publicity. But as per recent updates, the breakaway circuit has finally achieved something they have been keenly waiting for.
LIV Golf finally earns broadcasting rights on TV
The Norman-led league has been struggling to get everything for the players that the PGA Tour professionals have and more. And “shark” Greg Norman has been putting in all his efforts and power to avail all of it for LIV players. From allowing them to play pro tournaments wearing shorts, to providing shorter event schedules, the LIV CEO has been doing it all. However, there was one thing that the golf legend was not able to avail for the league.

Despite several attempts and negotiations, LIV Golf was unable to crack a broadcasting deal with any trusted network. However, according to the recent revelation by Nick Haslam, the league has finally attained a broadcasting deal with various linear channels of Seven Network.

Earlier, the news only included the league’s rights to broadcast all 14 rounds of the LIV Golf Adelaide camp on the 7plus streaming platform. But later, Haslam revealed how several linear channels linked to Seven Networks are officially working with the breakaway circuit. During his conversation with Golf Digest, he said, “We’re obviously delighted the LIV Adelaide event in April will be broadcast free to air on linear TV here in Australia, which will be on a mix of 7 and 7mate/7Two (channels),”

He also mentioned that the Australian public wouldn’t have to spend money to watch the upcoming LIV Golf tournaments. Moreover, it would be a great way to build awareness about the league throughout the year among golf fans.
