After Tiger Woods was spotted walking comfortably while caddying for his son, fueling intense comeback rumors, another intriguing story found its way to the forefront. Any Tiger Woods fans or gearheads will drool at the opportunity to possess the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 GSS Putter that the golfer has used to win his 15 major titles.

Although that’s not up for sale, a replica of the ‘Elder Wand’ with an interesting backstory will go up for auction. Previously, a few Tiger Woods putters had gone up for sale and fetched a hefty sum of money. A spit and image copy of the Newport 2 GSS sold for $400K in an auction in 2021. But this one is supposed to cross the $1 million mark. What makes this putter so special?

‘Secret Gamer’ is not your ordinary Tiger Woods putter

Well, for gearheads, any Tiger Woods gear is extraordinary. But the previous ones that sold for eye-watering amounts can be clubbed together. Whereas this one, as Golden Age, the auction host claims stands out, courtesy of a fascinating backstory.

Tiger Woods has a number of backups in his arsenal. Apparently, this one was actually used by the former world no. 1 when he ‘accidentally’ damaged his putter. The 15-time Major winner is known for his hot temper on the course. On one such occasion, Woods damaged his first-choice putter.

While the putter was taken to Scotty Cameron for repair, the 47-year-old golfer had to fall back on one of his backup putters. The very same putter, known as the ‘Secret Gamer’, is being offered for sale. “During the few days it was out of Tiger’s possession, he was forced to put another red dot putter into play—supposedly the very red dot putter offered in this auction,” Golf.com quoted Golden Age.

Indeed, this is a fascinating story. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to verify. But one thing that we can (every Tiger Woods fan can) witness with their open eyes is that Woods appeared in a much better shape while caddying for his son.

Woods drops major comeback hints

Tiger Woods was seen walking with Charlie Woods while caddying for him at the Notah Begay III Junior National Golf Championship. Woods, being a proud father, couldn’t hold himself back from being the bagman for his son. Incidentally, when Charlie Woods won the regional qualifier, the veteran golfer turned up on the greens to caddy for his son.

The main worry ahead of a potential comeback was whether the GOAT be able to walk through the 72 holes. His limping at El Cardonal the previous week showed all the wrong signs. However, in the latest video from TWLegion, he appeared to be quite comfortable. Check it out for yourself.
