On Saturday, Mike McAllister, Editorial Director at LIV Golf, took to Twitter to share the news about the change in ruling at the LIV Golf. The caption read: “Starting with today’s Rd. 1 #LIVGolf Chicago, players will now sign their scorecards at their finishing holes instead of having to return to the scoring tent.

An article was linked to the tweet that explained the change of rules. It stated that starting with the LIV Golf Chicago event, a new scoring process has been implemented. Players will now sign their scorecards immediately after completing their rounds on the greens rather than in a traditional scoring tent.

As per the report, this change aims to expedite the scoring process and is a result of LIV Golf’s shotgun start, which leads players to finish on different holes. The new procedure has received positive feedback from players who appreciate the efficiency it brings, allowing them to move on with their post-round routines more quickly.

Furthermore, LIV Golf’s Scoring Support Ambassadors will verify scores, and players have the option to consult with the Rules Committee if necessary before signing their cards. Video reviews remain available as necessary.

This isn’t the first time LIV Golf has made some amendments to its rules on the greens. There have been a number of changes made in the past as well, the recent big one being from June.
