Ever since its initiation, LIV Golf has been larger than life. The players on the breakaway tour have often shared their glee over the limited number of events coupled with the light-heartedness of the Saudi-backed circuit and for good reason.

While the PGA Tour and DP World Tour are gearing up for the season finale with the Ryder Cup at the end of September, CEO Greg Norman also has big plans for the PIF’s tournaments. Their zealous celebrations also indicate the future of LIV Golf in the coming years.

Ever since the $3 Billion merger was announced, there have been overwhelming speculations about the future of the breakaway tour. While Jay Monahan’s ‘control’ statements indicated that there might be plans for shutting down the Saudi league, several LIV Golfers shared their views which proved contrary to such ideas. The staff at the PIF’s Tournaments also confirmed that the merger talks have proved beneficial to business.

While the next LIV Golf event at Chicago later this month is one of the most highly anticipated tournaments, for the season finale at Miami, the breakaway tour has a special surprise planned. Aussie DJ, Fisher, is set to light up the course with his spinning skills after the LIV Golf Team Championship on October 22nd. CEO Greg Norman shared his excitement about the entertainer’s exceptional skills to be featured at Miami’s Trump National Doral Golf Club. “This has been a historic year for LIV Golf and our league is gearing up for a one-of-a-kind season finish for our fans,” he said. He also indicated that there will be immense excitement from the players on the course too.

Furthermore, the commissioner of the Saudi-backed circuit added, “We can’t wait to crown this year’s team champion in Miami as the league celebrates an incredible season and momentum builds for 2024 and beyond.” His palpable excitement hints that LIV Golf has no plans of disappearing. If anything, they are dolling up for a new season next year.

Aside from the exuberant celebrations at the end of the season, LIV Golf has been proactive about their stance for the next season. According to the CEO and the golfers, the Saudi league isn’t going anywhere in the light of the merger.
