The most awaited LIV Golf Team Championship is just around the corner. All thirteen teams will be competing in a head-to-head match for the trophy at the Maridoe Golf Club from September 20 to September 21. While the Bryson DeChambeau-led team Crusher GC is on the leaderboard with 176.50 points, Brooks Koepka is struggling to keep his team poised.
The Smash GC is currently placed at the fourth position on the team leaderboard with 131.50 points. Nonetheless, just like the former, they too have won two events this year. Amidst the wrath of competition, there Koepka gets to taste a slice of demure.

Each of the teams in the breakaway league has an official Instagram page to promote their teams. They engage with their fans by posting significant moments both on and off the course. Smash GC too has one, and the captain tried out an experiment to see what impact it has. Koepka asked ChatGPT about the first impression of their Instagram feed. To this, ChatGPT began its response by saying, “Your Instagram feed has a strong, cohesive aesthetic that blends bold visuals with clear messaging.”
Initially, the team had Talor Gooch, Chase Koepka, and Jason Kokrak as the captain. However, Chase Koepka called it quits, and that was when Graeme McDowell became a part of the team for the 2024 season. Due to the change in the squad, they often refer to their new team as the ‘2024 squad’. This, according to the AI app, represents the unity and strength of the team.
“There’s a good balance between player-focused content and team- wide highlights, which appeals to both fans of individual golfers and the broader team dynamic,” added ChatGPT. It further stated that it knows the right usage of branding, and using its name is helping Smash GC become a unified brand. Even the official account of Torque GC commented on the post in agreement, saying, “Very mindful, very demure.”

Graeme McDowell was disqualified from the tournament as he was detected to be on performance-enhancing drugs. Brooks Koepka had to add John Catlin as a substitute player. However, the results did not turn out as grave. The captain and Jason Kokrak bagged the first and third positions.
