It has been a roller coaster of emotions for the golfing world, as the penultimate event of the LPGA Tour came to an end in Florida. The tournament, named after the legendary Annika Sorenstam, saw a lot of golfers exhibit their spirit on the course. However, some players, including the likes of Lexi Thompson, and her fellow American, were spotted displaying the same off the greens as well.

Both professionals were unable to come out on top of the leaderboard at the end of Sunday at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. Nevertheless, the talented duo was nothing short of an inspiration to aspiring golfers at the $3.25 million event, as they took to their social media handles to share the moments, surprising many!

Thompson was unable to place herself at T3, which would have let her into the Top 60 of the Race to CME Globe standings. Moreover, she could only manage a T7 tied with Megan Khang, pushing her to 79 on the list. Thus, she missed out on her chance at the upcoming CME Group Tour Championship. However, the 28-year-old didn’t let it affect her. Lexi, along with her fellow Solheim Cup teammate, were spotted spending time with some aspiring athletes.

In a story updated on her Instagram, the 11X LPGA Tour shared a snap posted by a young golfer named Madeline Raun. The picture showcases the two smiling at the camera while the 1X major champ is holding Leo, her pet dog, which is a Havanese and miniature poodle mix.

Joining the likes of her fellow Solheim Cup teammate was Khang. The 26-year-old, in a series of stories, posted the moments she shared with two athletes. The 1x LPGA Tour champ conveyed her gratitude to Madeline Fox, a high school sophomore golfer for the Florida State team for “spending the day” with the pro. The next story showcased the 2023 CPKC Women’s Open champ expressing her appreciation for Kylani Gathers, an eight-year-old aspiring golfer who thanked the Solheim Cup star for her “autographed ball.”
