The Koepka couple, Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims, is indeed one of the most loved and admired couples out there. The couple recently became parents to a baby boy Crew who they welcomed 6 weeks before the due date. They were extremely joyful as they shared the news with their fans. After triumphing over all the hardships of untimely delivery, Sims recently opened up about the struggles she had to face during her pregnancy, with a fellow model on an Instagram Live. Let’s dive into the story.

Sims and Koepka have always supported each other, and they were elated to share the news about the pregnancy with the world. The couple did so in May on the occasion of Koepka’s 33rd birthday. Pregnancy is never easy, but it gets a bit more difficult for working women, and so was the case for the model as well.
She recently did an Instagram live with a fellow SI Swimsuit model, Sharina Gutierrez wherein she opened up about the hardships she had to face in her professional life during the initial months of her pregnancy.
She shared that she was really nervous about walking her first swimwear show for the brand ‘OneOne Swimwear’ as it was her first show after being pregnant. The first show as a pregnant model made her feel nervous, and it felt like “ripping a bandaid off.” Reminiscing about her show in Miami, she said: “I was so scared and so I think getting that one kind of under my bell gave me the lot more confidence.”

She revealed she was doing all the interviews for SI Swimsuit in March, and at that time she knew she was expecting, but the SI team did not. She said that she was “kinda nervous” about her pregnancy and that she did not know how the SI team would react to it. But when she shared her pregnancy news with the SI Swimsuit team, they made her feel more welcome on the team.
Although Sims’ professional struggles might be over, the same is not the case for her beloved husband. With the BMW Championship coming to an end, Koepka’s fate in regard to the Ryder Cup still hangs by a thin thread.

With the conclusion of the $20 million event in Illinois, Koepka is officially out of the list of 6 players who get selected for the US team on the basis of Ryder Cup standings. It was earlier reported that after the two rounds of the BMW Championship, Xander Schauffele could steal the 5x major champion’s spot, and as the game unfolded, he officially dethroned the Koepka from the points table.
After Schauffele’s game on Sunday, the golfer was bumped to seventh position in the table, and his only hope to play in red stripes is officially now in the hands of Zach Johnson. After being in the top 6 players to qualify automatically for the majority of the year, being bumped out right at the end definitely sucks.

It will indeed be interesting to see if Johnson chooses Koepka to be a part of the 2023 Ryder Cup, keeping aside all the LIV Golf and PGA Tour differences. The US Captain did make it clear that he will do what will be best for the team, and will up the chances of them winning.
