Bryson DeChambeau is certainly one of those golfers who would always make the list of ‘players to watch out for.’ The LIV Golfer left behind an incredible start to his career on the PGA Tour with eight wins along with the title for US Open 2020. Now as he battles against his rivals on the Club de Golf Valderrama course on the Saudi-backed tour, he is drawing a lot of attention for all the good reasons.

There are certain expectations that follow such an astounding performer on the greens. Some are set by the public and his fans but most of them come from DeChambeau himself. The Scientist, as he is commonly known in the golfing community, made an honest confession about his struggles in Valderrama despite his remarkable position after Round 2.

After the hyped discussions that followed the announcement of LIV Golf making a multi-year deal with Andalucia, golfing fans are eager to see what the talented players will deliver on the reputed greens of Valderrama.

Being one of Sergio Garcia’s favorite golf courses, he spoke quite highly of the fairways and links. However, not everyone seems to share his enthusiasm for the greens of Spain.

Bryson DeChambeau, who led the leaderboard after the second round of LIV Golf Valderrama, shared a video on his Instagram post calling it a “tough golf course.” LIV Golf shared the feed with a few words of encouragement that The Scientist agrees with.

Despite his impressive 9-under at the end of round 2, Bryson DeChambeau doesn’t think it’s an easy course. “I played really well today,” he said after Saturday’s game. “Definitely moving in the right direction,” he stated, thrilled by his performance but also admitted, “Tough golf course, y’all.

Ahead of the final round in Valderrama, DeChambeau is not discouraged, just a bit daunted. He did have a bright perspective despite his consternations as he shared in the video. “I think the cool thing about this golf course is that even though, you know, I hit very far, it’s still a tactician’s golf course. And I feel like I’m able to do that this week.” 

Such tight lines and everything that my brain is just like locking in,” he went on to add. Clearly, DeChambeau has a shot at the title and LIV Golf knows it too. “We got to get the job done tomorrow @brysondechambeau they wrote before today’s game, and the American Golfer feels largely encouraged to prove his mettle.

LIV Golf anticipated DeChambeau’s performance

The Saudi-PIF-funded circuit has displayed immense credibility when it comes to recognizing a player’s potential. They approached the Scientist with a massive $125 million to join LIV Golf. CEO Greg Norman and the Saudi-backed golfing association were already aware of Bryson DeChambeau’s can-do attitude.

If anything, it appears that the leaders of LIV golf had a deeper instinct with the DeChambeau vs Koepka angle when they brought in both players. With a tight group of 48 players currently on the circuit, the authorities curated talents with immense potential. The 29-year-old golfer is one among many such promising candidates that draw attention to the fairly new golfing association.

Gotta get the job done tomorrow,” the pro golfer stated in anticipation of the final round. While the golfing community is yet to see how DeChambeau fares against his rivals in the LIV Golf Valderrama’s final round, most are anticipating a title grab from the American golfer.
