It is understandable since playing in these prestigious tournaments puts a lot of pressure on players. Often the boundary between them and their supporters widens. In a recent video shared by the PGA Tour’s Instagram handle, Tony Finau is walking while in the middle of a stellar game on Saturday. The fans are all around and Tony listens to what they say. PGA Tour writes, “Always making time for fans, even mid-round.”

The fan says, “Nice birdie, Finau.” The fan was referring to the 30-foot birdie he hit. And Finau was heard thanking them. And when he saw a group of kids standing, he shook hands with them. Another fan in the vicinity appreciated his spirit of the game, saying, “You are the man, sir.” The kids, meanwhile, said, “Thank You, sir.” The Twitter post also received comments like “Man of the People” and “Cool Dude”.

Can there be a déjà vu moment for Finau?

Finau is the defending champion at TPC Twin Cities, Minnesota. He knows what it takes to win on the course and is talented enough to repeat it. Is there a possibility of seeing him win the title twice in a row? Things ain’t too bad for him at present.

With round 3 ending on Saturday, Tony Finau ranked third on the leaderboard. He is six shots behind the leading player, Lee Hodges. The position was a result of his four under 67 in the moving round. History may repeat itself. And just like last year when Scott Piercy lost the edge on the last day of the tournament to Finau, Hodges might lose steam as well on Sunday.
