The impending Ryder Cup is currently consuming the whole golfing community. After the names of the US and European squad members were made public, Ryder Cup anticipation reached a new high. The Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome will be host to an epic battle between US and Europe from September 29. Now everyone is watching what their Ryder Cup warriors are doing. This includes Justin Thomasmajor staff shuffle.

American golfer Xander Schauffele is also part of the US patriotic dream and he is prepared to honor his nation. While he ticks most of the boxes, there is one thing that requires a lot of attention from the golfer. Thankfully, it’s not related to golf. Let’s dive in to learn more.

The not-so great skill brings spotlight on Xander Schauffele

Schauffele has excelled on the greens since going pro in June 2015. He has seven victories on the PGA Tour. He finished second in the 2018 Open Championship. He finished third at the 2019 US Open and second at the Masters in the same year.

He has also qualified automatically for the US Ryder Cup team, which is the icing on the cake. He finished sixth on the squad with a total of 9,450.269 points. But despite his game, there is one skill on which he needs to work.

After finishing runner-up at the 2023 Tour Championship, he posted a promo video for Draft Kings on his Twitter account. But the video was embarrassing, according to many people. Golfweek posted this on its Twitter with the caption: ”This Xander Schauffele gambling promo video is the definition of cringeworthy.”

Simply put, Schauffele is much more skilled at golf than he is at making promotional videos. That’s why he is such a threat to his opposition at the biennial event.
