The LIV Golf players undoubtedly dominated at the Masters earlier this month. But amid the event, they were also hit with a shocking revelation about the DP World Tour. Although overshadowed by the excitement of the Augusta Major, the disappointment of the players was evident. And among them, Patrick Reed was arguably the most dismayed! And while the European Tour chief, Keith Pelley, expresses his gladness about his side’s huge win, Reed just refuses to accept it.
Keith Pelley voices his gladness about the DP World Tour
Since last year, a legal battle has waged on between the European Tour and many players who defected to the other side. This meant that the LIV golfers could no longer compete in its events, leaving them disheartened. On the other hand, the news thrilled the DP World Tour chief, Keith Pelley. “I don’t categorize it as, as relief; I categorize it as I’m quite pleased with the fact that we can administer our rules and regulations,” he said on the Bunkered Golf Podcast’s latest episode, talking about winning the arbitration.
Pelley claimed that had the decision not gone their way, it would have been “challenging” for all sports organizations. “You have to be able to have rules, you have to be able to have regulations,” he stated. “And if we can’t administer them… then everything falls apart.”

Reed claimed that he would continue to fight for what to be a part of the European Tour. “I will always and have always planned to play as a proud member of the DP World Tour,” he stated, claiming that he was ready for another war with the Tour.
