As Charlie Woods grows in age, so do his rivals. When we say rivals, we mean talented golfers who are of his age, and who could pose a real challenge to his caliber. While Charlie is challenging his own father as well in fitness, there are other areas where his rivals might outdo him. One such rival recently showed his presence online with a trending video.

The video of the young man showing off his fast swings impresses golf fans. The teenager is exhibiting his talent from home surroundings, though. This is not surprising, however, considering his father, who is also one of the best club golfers that the sport has seen. 

The fastest 18-year-old golfer?

Michael Block is a unique character who sometimes baffles fans. He is supremely talented, but he plays in very few tournaments. His competitive performance in the 2023 PGA Championships was on a par with that of many globally respected younger stars.

Now, a video of his son is online where he flaunts his swing, and it’s jaw-dropping. His swing moves incredibly and sends the ball flying at a speed upwards of 200 kilometers per hour. Three of his swings were on the video.

In the first swing, he faced a wall and swung his club. The ball damaged the wall and made a mark on it. The second swing happened in the garden, where he broke his club with this immense speed. 

The third swing is where a device recorded his speed and said his swing went by at 208.4 kilometers per hour. For comparison, the average swing speed of Tiger Woods stands right around 193 kilometers per hour.  

The video ended with someone asking the audience to find out if there was a faster swinger in the golf scene. The video’s title sort of asked the same question, “Is Dylan Block the fastest 18-year-old in the world?”

Charlie Woods is toiling hard to satisfy expectations

As mentioned above, Charlie Woods is killing it in the fitness game. So much so that comparisons have come up between his father and him in the physical department. Visibly muscular and well-built, Charlie Woods has a different body type than his father at the same age.

Of late, he has won two tournaments representing his school team, and has stood out with his individual scores well. Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship was one of them. He also performed exceptionally well in the SFPGA’s West Coast High School tournament.

These two tournaments marked the lowest-scoring rounds for the young champ in his golf career so far. He also became the individual champion of the West Coast High School tournament.
