A T43 finish in the first tournament of a new season is a tough hit for any golfer. The 2025 LPGA season kicked off with the Honda LPGA Thailand at the Siam Country Club’s Pattaya Old Course from February 20 to 23. Jenny Shin, one of the tournament’s participants, had a rollercoaster ride of a game, finishing with a total score of 284 (-4) after rounds of 71-71-73-69. Despite her efforts, Shin tied for 43rd place, taking home $8,488 in earnings.

The real kicker? It’s been 8 long years since Shin’s last win at the 2016 Volunteers of America Texas Shootout. She’s long overdue! With such a lackluster start to the season, Shin will likely be looking to bounce back in her next tournament. However, considering her recent form, it’s hard to be optimistic about her chances, and well, it seems like it’s only getting worse for Shin from here.

After playing two rounds, in which she scored 74 and 72, respectively, Jenny Shin’s participation in the HSBC Women’s World Championship came to an abrupt end. With a total score of 146 (+2), Shin was forced to withdraw from the tournament, unfortunately, due to illness.
