The young talent draws inspiration partially from Tiger Woods but majorly from her family and keeps alive the memory of her brother every step of the way.

Cheyenne Knight, a professional golfer, has already made heads turn in the women’s circuit. However, her journey to this point has been marked by personal trials.

In 2008, her brother, Brandon Burgett, tragically passed away in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. Her faith and determination, however, never wavered, and she dedicated her career to honoring her brother’s legacy.

Introduced to golf by her father, who shares a love for the game, she initially lacked interest but gradually started participating in golf league competitions at the tender age of nine.

While she draws inspiration from Tiger Woods, her primary source of motivation and the driving force behind her game is her father, who also serves as her coach. Tiger Woods has left an indelible mark on their entire family, shaping Cheyenne Knight’s golfing journey.

Pursuing a Dream with Resilience

Cheyenne Knight’s dream was always to play golf for Texas A&M, her father’s alma mater. However, witnessing the University of Alabama women’s golf team win the National Championship in 2012 ignited a newfound aspiration to join their ranks.

Ultimately, she took a bold step and joined the Epson Tour in 2018. Drawing inspiration from her brother’s memory, she tenaciously earned a qualifying card for the LPGA Tour.

Cheyenne Knight’s golfing journey is an inspiration, marked by unwavering faith and belief. She strongly feels her brother Brandon’s presence with her every step of the way. “When I’m on the golf course, I always feel Brandon’s presence, and he is going to be with me every step of my journey on the LPGA Tour,” she said.

Now, she eagerly anticipates competing on the LPGA tour, especially the prospect of playing in her home state of Texas.
