Remember the time John Daly faced heat by the fans for his drinking habits last year? In 2023 Daly appeared on SEC Nation to support his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks against the Cincinnati Bearcats. And while reading the “Hilly Billy Headlines” with Marty and McGee, Daly nonchalantly admitted, “I am not going to lie. I’m drunk.” This statement came as no surprise, given Daly’s notorious reputation for consuming large quantities of beer without showing signs of intoxication.

The video of Daly’s drunk appearance went viral on social media, where he’s referred to as “a national treasure.” However, not everyone shared the same thoughts on it. Like this one fan who said “A treasure? You all have the same low standards.” Another fan was so upset over the incident that they said the golfer should be booed in the stadium. “Drinking a Belgian beer? No Labatts, Molson, Moosehead or any Canadian craft beers. He should be booed.”
