Greg Norman, the CEO of LIV Golf, is in the news again after he revealed a huge fact about golf. He was an extraordinary golfer in his pro days who spent 331 weeks on the No.1 spot. And now he is the center of attention after his statement in a video which is making rounds on the internet, leaving fans in shock, wondering if he is actually right.

According to Norman, America is not the golf hub, but other regions are better and should be considered as the actual hub.

Greg Norman believes Asia and the Middle East have more potential for golf

The official Twitter account of LIV Golf Updates tweeted a video where Greg Norman was seen saying that America is not the hub of golf, instead, the Middle East and Asia have the potential for golf and they are much more active than the former.

He said, “America is not the only place golf is played”. He talked about Asia and said, there is a growth of golf in Asia right now. Hence, they invested significantly in Asia for the Asian tour and the International Series, only to grow the game there. Asia is the sleeping giant of golf and it needs to wake up.

Talking about golf course construction around the world, he said that the Middle East is contributing 60% of it. South America is not as active or a huge hub as Asia and the Middle East. Because three-quarters of the population of the world resides right there.

Investment suggestions by Norman

Talking about making the right investment decisions for golf, Norman said that understanding the space is essential for the business model to work efficiently. Because in the end, it’s a commercial operation that will invest our dollars into the innovation side of golf. However, America is doing good. We need to invest our dollars where we can improve the product to achieve better profitable returns on our investment. And this investment will not only benefit the tour, but it will also benefit the players, the people watching, and the game of golf.
