How did Dustin Johnson meet his wife, Paulina Gretzky?
Johnson first met Paulina in early 2013 before the start of the PGA Tour season. While he was still off the upper echelons of the rankings and was yet to win a major, DJ fell in love with the American model.

Paulina wasn’t short of sports heritage. Her father is the former Canadian ice hockey player and legend, Wayne Gretzky. DJ and Paulina hit off immediately, getting engaged in August 2013. Gretzky has been a regular companion of Johnson ever since, who once said her husband was the best dad to their son and her best friend.
“It’s just unbelievable. Dustin’s the best dad, he’s my best friend. He’s been so supportive with me and we’re just there for each other. I couldn’t be happier for him,” Gretzky said.
Dustin Johnson’s adoring moment after WGC victory
Back in 2014, Johnson had a rough patch and decided to take a break from the game. While the reason remains unclear, he reportedly sought professional help to improve his mental health and physical well-being.
He returned to the game refreshed and went on to roll over tournaments. He finished as a runner-up at the 2015 US Open before securing his first major in the next edition at the Oakmont Golf Course.
Among other victories was the 2015 World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship held at Trump National Doral, after which Johnson spent an adorable moment with his family. “Now that’s what I wanted to see,” he said while walking off the course.
He later described the change in his life after the birth of his first child, Tatum. “It’s hard to describe, but just from the first day he’s born, your perspective on life completely changes,” Johnson said.
Furthermore, the former World No.1 revealed that an adoring family made it easier to focus and prioritize things over one another. “It kind of makes life a lot easier I think, just because there’s just one thing that’s kind of all you think about,” he said. “It definitely simplifies stuff.”
