The tournament will take place in the same week as the start of the 2022/23 PGA Tour season, which looks to commence with the Fortinet Championship in California. However, the lucrative series has the leverage of top golf names over the 92-year-old Tour. So who are the 48 golfers that will be competing at LIV Golf Chicago Invitational?

Players lineup at LIV Golf Chicago

Unlike previous tournaments, this event won’t have any new notable defectors from the PGA Tour. Nonetheless, at the previous tournament in Boston, Henrik Stenson was sidelined for an injury. The Swede who won at his LIV debut in Bedminster will return to join his team Majesticks on the playing field. He will replace Shergo Al Kurdi, who will be placed back on the reserve list.

In team Torque GC, David Puig will replace his compatriot Adrian Otaegui. Apart from the two changes, the rest of the 48 players remain unchanged. Sergio Garcia, who withdrew from the BMW PGA Championship this past week, will also be competing at Rich Harvest Farms.

The rest of the lineup is stacked with some high-profile names such as Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, Brooks Koepka, and Bubba Watson to name a few. With such names competing for the $4 million prize money, brace yourselves for some top-quality golf.
