The event follows a 12-hole, best-ball format. In each round, every player will play their own ball until it is holed. The player’s score that is the lowest at the end of the hole will count and add to the team score. As with regular golf, at the end of the 12 holes, whichever team has the lowest total score will be declared the winner.
How much money will the golf event contribute to charity?
The seventh edition of the match has particular challenge holes that have monetary prizes set from $750,000 to $2.5 million. The prize money will go to different charities. Part of the money that the event raises today will also go towards relief funds for Hurricane Ian, a Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that struck Florida in September this year.

The players will certainly be driven to do their best in honor of these charities and the relief efforts for Hurricane Ian. Woods said in a recent interview showing his dedication to the cause, “Some of the people are without homes, power, loved ones… this Match, a considerable amount of the charitable dollars will be going there.” The golf pro added, “Personally, I’m giving money to that cause as well.”
