In 2019, Justin Thomas learned about a mole on his skin on the left leg that showed early signs of a form of skin cancer named melanoma. Thomas had surgery to get it removed from his leg and also shared a picture on Instagram of the large scar the operation left. The player also appealed to all his fans and followers to visit their respective doctors and get routine checkups before it gets too late.

Luckily, the golfer got his potential cancer-causing mole surgically removed in time. Melanoma is caused due to spending too much time in the sun without applying any sun protection cream on the skin. The disease can be avoided by preventing too much UV radiation from penetrating the skin.
