Golf players have a variety of clubs at their disposal. Choosing the right club for a particular shot is essential to playing good golf. Among these clubs, the driver is one of the most important as it is used for the longest shots on the course. When selecting a driver, golfers consider factors such as the loft, length, and head size.
The loft and the length of the driver are very important. While the higher lofts provide more loft, the lower lofts generate a lower ball flight. On the other hand, longer drivers can generate more clubhead speed, but can also be more difficult to control. Ultimately, choosing the club and driver is a matter of personal preference and is mostly based on a golfer’s individual swing style and ability. Now recently, Tiger Woods has made it to the headlines due to his driver preferences.

There are always new and more developed drivers coming in. Players always try to perform at the top level and thus opt for such advanced equipment. However, that is not always the case. Some players try to go with their own preferences rather than with the market. That is exactly what Tiger Woods is doing currently.
The five-times major winner recently shared a picture on his Instagram handle. While the picture was of Woods making a swing, the peculiar thing about it was the driver that Woods was using. Instead of the newly released Stealth 2 and Stealth 2 HD drivers, Woods was using the Stealth 1 driver. The picture was also shared on the Twitter by TW Legion and made it to the headlines. With Masters coming up and Woods still using the Stealth 1 driver, the picture went viral rapidly.

The golf equipment making company, TaylorMade, is famous for its highly efficient drivers. TaylorMade has made progress in their Stealth drivers after releasing Stealth 1, Stealth 2 and now Stealth 2 HD driver. While most of the golfers opted for the new Stealth drivers, Woods surely has not been one of them.
Fans let their views known about Woods still using an older version of driver
As the picture went viral all on Twitter, what followed was the reaction from fans. The fans took to the comments section and let their thoughts known about Woods still preferring to use the TaylorMade Stealth 1 driver. Some of the comments are:
Ain’t no way Tiger is changing equipment until he’s ready. The big cat would never get into the situation Rory is in with the driver.

He's been doing this since day 1…goat knows.

Unlike Rory, there is no sponsor that is going to tell Tiger clubs he will play. Nor should there be

The reactions contained a mixture of appreciating Woods’ decision, confidence in Woods to do well, jibes at the TM Stealth drives and questions like why Woods is doing so. However, it remains to be seen what Woods will be using in the upcoming Masters Tournament.
I would die for this man.
