Just at the age of 25 years old, Victor Hovland has such incredible achievements to boast of that many players take a lifetime to earn. His recent winning of the Tour Championship further strengthened his evolving image at the moment. In two weeks he will be participating in the Ryder Cup from Team Europe.

These incredible achievements have made a reputation for Hovland in his homeland and spread it across different sports. And days before his Ryder Cup appearance, Hovland earned a special shootout from a fellow countrymen athlete.

Last month in August Hovland created history by winning the $65 million purse worth Tour Championship. By clearing the toughest level of FedEx Playoffs, Hovland earned a paycheck of $18 million and a hike in his reputation. His golfing skills left such an impression that even other athletes are speaking of his talent.

Hovland has found a fan in Norwegian football player Erling Haaland. The 23-year-old soccer player who plays as a striker for Premier League club Manchester City and the Norway national team is among the top names in the sport. In September he is on the cover person of France Football. 

For this issue, he was interviewed by the magazine. When asked if he follows other sports Haaland answered, “Not a lot. I see a little bit. I saw one Norwegian guy did amazing in golf days ago. So a little bit on the Norwegians.” With his incredible wins, Hovland has brought glory to his country and earned recognition all around.

Despite the fame, Hovland continues to be a man of character. Recently his criticism from the media and fans over his clothing choices at major events made the rounds, but he has remained true to himself and accepted his appearance.

While he was playing in this year’s PGA Championship in May despite a good performance many shots were fired on his clothing choices. Though he usually appears in colored clothes, for the major championships Hovland’s choice of clothing was colorful and bright shirts and he was trolled for them as well.

But in reply, he cleared that he is sponsored by brands and this is what they pay him to wear on the green. Though he will be seen dressed sharply and in uniform for his Ryder Cup appearance.

With the event just a few days away fans can’t wait to see Hovland showing off his impressive skills in Rome.
