While not everyone can become a part of the field, the PIF-funded league has ensured an open player pathway – the undisclosed Promotions Event, for golfers who aim to participate in the $25 million events. And the community is awaiting any news of the same with baited breaths!

When it comes to the format of LIV Golf, players who finish inside the top 24 at the end of the year will be eligible to keep playing the following season. Meanwhile, those in the 25-44 range will be sent to the transfer market where the other teams offer to pick them up.

Following this, the rest of the players, from 45-48,  are bound to get relegated unless they have signed multi-year contracts or win in the promotions event, in which case, they are able to take up their clubs in the next season.

A while ago, a tweet was uploaded on social media that shared possible news of the said event. Although it has not been confirmed, the tournament is said to be played from the 7th of December in the Middle East, as per reports.

Moreover, the LIV Golf Series has offered nothing regarding the same as speculations arise. Nevertheless, the community is on its toes as the final details are still to be confirmed.

The last player part of the group of four would be selected through the Asian Tour’s International Series. The golfer who tops the money list in the series will get automatically qualified to earn a spot for the Saudi-backed league the following season.
