Golf press conferences are the most enlightening conversations. Learning about the sport and the player’s strategy can become monotonous over time. So, reporters now have a different approach to getting personal information from the horse’s mouth.
Just recently, LIV Golf Rippers GC Captain Cameron Smith, joined the bandwagon and asked his peer, Dustin Johnson, a personal question about his pastime. While the Saudi circuit is known for fun little titbits like that, the PGA Tour is also following suit to make the American circuit more entertaining. During the FedEx St. Jude Championship playoffs, Lucas Glover went ahead and shared an intimate detail about his time alone.

During the FedEx ST. Jude presser, reporters asked the 43-year-old golfer if he had any laundry. The question was in regard to after Glover admitted that he packs for a week and does his own laundry when he is playing events back-to-back!
“I’m very bored in my hotel room. It gives me something to do,” the leader at the $20 Million event in TPC Southwind shared. He further added that the reason for his boredom is that he finished the fiction novel by Daniel Silva he picked up at the airport. He intends on picking something else up on his way back.
The golfer from South Carolina currently residing in Florida, was also teased about having quarters for the Laundromat. Without taking offense, the PGA Tour pro joked that he would have to get change at the front desk. “Dug through the backpack and then change from the front,” he added humorously.

The 2009 US Open winner is currently stretching his one-week’s laundry for the FedEx St. Jude Championship where he has taken a substantial lead over his opponents. He is uncertain if he’s going home after the event.

The FedEx St. Judes Championship started off unlike most tournaments on the PGA Tour with a big purse but only with the top 70 players. With the high level of competitiveness among golfers from around the world, it soon became clear that it was going to be a nail-biter.

Lucas Glover started round 1 behind other prolific golfers namely Jordan Spieth, Tom Kim, and Emiliano Grillo. By round 2, he came into form and leaped forward on the leaderboard with 6-under 64 which put him at 10-under par in total. It put him in the lead against his competition. After round 3, even though he is only one shot ahead of Taylor Moore and has serious chasers to claim the title, the Clemson alumnus still stands a good chance to take home the massive winner’s payout at the first FedEx Cup playoffs.
