Once upon a time, Paige Spiranac was a golf player but that career of hers was short-lived as soon realized that it was not for her and she switched to influencing where she earned massive success. However, Spiranac has also received much criticism for how she chooses to dress.
And the bold golf beauty isn’t afraid to address the topic. In her latest interview with Sports Illustrated, Spiranac gave a detailed description of what led to her dressing and presenting herself a certain way that she receives hate for.

The bold and vivacious style of Spiranac has earned her numerous deals and has also brought her much attention from the media as well. Last year she was a cover girl for an issue of Sports Illustrated magazine. This year she is giving another independent interview to the magazine where she answered questions about her bold looks.
In the video interview, she was asked if she had made some fashion statements on the golf course and what is her reaction to her attire. To this Spiranac answered, “I was a gymnast before I switched to golf. I was so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that’s just what you wear when you’re wearing a leotard and you’re competing.”

She continued, “When I switched to golf, I wore what was in my closet which was workout clothes. I consider myself an athlete, That’s just how I learned to play the game.”
Spiranac further explained that she dresses in a certain manner because she considers golfers to be athletes.

Giving an example of Lucas Glover, who was visibly drenched in sweat at the recent FedEx St. Jude Championship, Spiranac said “I consider people who play golf which is a hot take to some athletes who play golf. Why don’t we dress like athletes? They’re out there, poor Lucas Glover, in these unbreathable pants sweating like crazy. I’m like, ‘Let’s dress like athletes.”
In the pictures from the event, Glover’s pants are wet from so much sweat. His forehead and hands were also covered in sweat.
Once again Spiranac showed that she owns her bold self and isn’t afraid to speak her mind about it.
