Wildfires are heartbreaking acts of God that no one can control. A few years ago, it took down major parts of forestlands on the Australian mainland, and for many years, it has plagued the European subcontinent. Now, a wildfire breaking out in Maui is rapidly depleting the potential economy and the lives of the residents.

In light of such horrifying news, some of our golfing heroes and their spouses have come forward to help as best they can. After all, every little bit can change someone’s life. Only these saviors are doing much more than just talking about it. The grand gestures by Jena Sims and others in the golf world, like a two-time major winner and a former LPGA star, might just make the situation surmountable.

Brooks Koepka‘s stunning wife Jena Sims is a celebrity in her own right. The model, actress, and philanthropist is quite influential, and she likes to use her power for good. Therefore, in light of the swiftly spreading wildfire in Maui, she took to Instagram to share with her fans the best way to help the residents during their troubled times.

On her Instagram story, the new mother added a post by Lspace and mentioned swiping to the next slide that lists organizations that are helping raise relief funds. ‘Maui Stron Fund,’ ‘Maui United Way,’ ‘Maui Food Bank,’ and ‘The Maui Humane Society’ are all accepting donations to help the residents of the affected Hawaiin Island.

Sims shared a screenshot of her donation, without the sum, of course. She also encouraged her followers to do the same if possible with a 4-word motivator: “If you can, do.”

Her grand gesture is on par with golf stars Collin Morikawa and Michelle Wie West, who are also actively doing their best to help the Maui community in these trying times.

Morikawa, on the other hand, decided to donate $1000 for every birdie he makes in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The two-time Major winner of the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship explained that Maui has always been close to his heart since his Paternal grandparents ran the Morikawa restaurant in Lahaina.

Even though most of his family has moved away to the island of Oahu and the restaurant has long been closed, he still holds a part of his heritage there. He wants to help relieve the people of Maui from the unfortunate incident.
