Fitzpatrick, 28, has achieved quite a lot at a pretty young age. With a solid career on both the European tour and the PGA Tour, the golfer has set several records in the past few years. Not to forget, the player won his first tournament as a pro at the 2015 British Masters, followed by his 2022 U.S. Open victory.
Notably, the athlete found his interest in the game at a very young age. And according to his statements, golf legend Tiger Woods always had an enormous impact on him during his childhood. While talking about his recent victory at the highly valued event, Fitzpatrick revealed how he used to attend the tournament with his old man. And the only person he used to look for would be Tiger Woods.

“I always remember coming here and saying to my dad, is Tiger going to be in it here, and my dad is like, no, Tiger is not playing this week,” he recalled. “I was always looking for Tiger.” And it was true since Woods hasn’t really appeared at the RBC Heritage a lot in his career. In fact, fans might only remember his presence on the field back in 1998.

Giving a tough fight to PGA Tour star Jordan Spieth at the third playoff hole, Fitzpatrick has made it to the top once again. And out of a huge $20 million purse, the tournament champion took home a cheque of $3.6 million along with the title!
On the other hand, Spieth was able to finish second and grab $2.2 million as his prize money.
