LIV Golf had indubitably hit the golfing world with a storm when it came into being in 2022. The defection of many players from the PGA Tour and the European circuit was nothing short of a shock to the golf community. However, it came as a different form of surprise for the sporting world when they came to know the huge amount of money behind the Saudi-backed league.

Each of the tournaments in the Middle Eastern circuit, including the final team championship event, boasts a huge prize purse. And so, the question naturally arises, which team has won the most number of times leading them to be the richest in the league? It does incite a whole lot of curiosity.

The PIF-funded league brags a huge purse for each of its events. The tournaments, except the Team Championship, have a total of $25 million as the total pool out of which $3 goes to the winning team, as opposed to the Miami event which has $50 million, with $14 going to the victor squad. And from the two years of the alternate circuit, only one team has managed to emerge triumphant 7 times, none other than 4Aces GC, led by Dustin Johnson.

The squad has won a total of five times in the 2022 Invitational Series while clinching victory two times in 2023. The group has raked in a total of $21 million by coming first. Moreover, the team has finished three times as a runner-up while placing themselves at the third spot a maximum of two times. In addition, their T4 performance at the 2023 Miami event led them to win $4 million leading their overall winnings to come to a total of $30.5 million.

However, these are just the rewards they received as part of finishing the tournaments inside the top 4. This does not include the many deals and sponsors that the team has behind their backs. The squad had, a little while back, announced Extracurricular as their official on-course partner for apparel. Following the move, the four players and their caddies were spotted wearing the brand’s clothing in all the tournaments.
