Golf legend, Tiger Woods, and his former caddie, Steve Williams, worked together for 13 years before they parted ways in 2011. Since 1999, William has been like a friend to Woods; however, their bond was affected after Woods’ alleged scandal. Both of them enjoyed the Major championship winner’s best years in the early 2000s together. Looking back in time, the ex-caddie revealed the truth of their relationship and how it fell apart in his book in 2015.

In the autobiography of William, ‘Out of the Rough,’ he charted his career where the great focus was his thirteen years with the former number one. And it was the apparent reason to talk about Woods; however, the duo saw some great wins. In thirteen years, the G.O.A.T. of golf won thirteen notable titles. However, in a few parts of the book, he discussed the PGA player’s on and off course behavior and his ‘slave’ treatment.
Did Tiger Woods mistreat his former caddie?
Former caddie, William, aimed at the 15-time major championship winner. And went candid about the “slave” treatment he received from the former number one on the golf course. He used to feel uneasy while bending and picking up the clubs which Woods discarded. “I felt uneasy about bending down to pick up his discarded club – it was like I was his slave,” said Woods’ former caddie. However, he was focused on becoming an outstanding golfer, and William ensured that happened.
The behavior of the legendary golfer pissed William. His habit of flipping the clubs in the sky also disrespected sport, according to the former caddie. “One thing that really pissed me off was how he would flippantly toss a club in the general direction of the bag, expecting me to go over and pick it up,” said William. And that was not all. Even though he was trying to support the golfer in his journey to be the greatest, his unbearable disrespectful habit of spitting in the hole disgusted the former caddie.
The Hall of Fame golfer used to spit in “the hole if he missed a putt.” However, William determined that some of the behaviors of the pro golfer had to be changed. Above all this, even his temper was not a pleasant sight to witness. However, it was a short period of experience; the sooner he got angry, the sooner it would settle too.

Was William also upset about the dragging?
Woods’ behavior disappointed William; however, the reason he was furious was something else. The former caddie despised the part where they dragged him through the wringer of Woods’ alleged scandals. He explained everything to Woods about how he was asked questions in New Zealand. Even though he had nothing to do with it. William wanted Woods to understand how difficult it was for him and his family.
