Bryson DeChambeau has been in the news for his various remarks on the PGA Tour and for revealing the secret call with Jay Monahan before his PGAT departure. The player may make the headlines again as he has received an invitation to participate in the 2024 major.

The eligibility criteria are highly feasible for those playing on the PGA Tour, since the OWGR points are within their reach, the golfers in the league would not miss majors due to lack of points. Well, it’s not the same for the golfers from the rival league. Despite the obstacles, DeChambeau has managed to qualify for the prestigious golf tournament.

The Masters has begun sending out its 2024 invites to the players. Many familiar faces have been invited to grace the greens, among them the inclusion of Bryson DeChambeau came as quite a surprise. The LIV Golf players tend to miss out on majors, as they usually fall outside of the required rank limit to qualify through different criteria. Last week, various golfers showed off their Masters invites, but among them, none were LIV golfers.

Now that Bryson DeChambeau’s name has been added to that list. DeChambeau shared about his 2024 Masters invite amidst the Christmas celebrations. The 2x LIV Golf winner shared on his Instagram story, posing with the green envelope near the kitchen counters of his new house.

While breaking the news of his invitation with a big smile, DeChambeau went on to extend holiday wishes to his fans and wrote “Merry Christmas 🎄,”. The 2024 Masters will be DeChambeau’s seventh appearance at the Augusta National.

In the last two editions, the 8x PGA Tour winner unfortunately missed the cut; however, he will try to make a successful run this time around. DeChambeau’s invitation to the Masters may have confused some, as he currently ranks outside of the top 50 at 154th on the OWGR, which is one of the eligibility criteria. Then how did DeChambeau earn the invite?

In the 2023 PGA Championship, DeChambeau had a T4 finish, which automatically enabled him for the 2024 Masters as top 4, and ties from majors are allowed for the next year’s Masters. One can expect a few more faces from the LIV League in the 2024 Masters, like Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, and many more. Who will you be most excited to watch at the 2024 Masters?
