Phil Mickelson, the golfing legend, is making a comeback and he has a secret weapon – LIV Golf. Mickelson, who has won six major championships, including three Masters titles, is on a mission to win his seventh major and, according to him, he has found something that is helping him achieve this goal.

Phil Mickelson and his mentoring of young golfers

In a recent press conference at the LIV Golf Singapore tournament, Phil Mickelson talked about how mentoring the three young golfers on his team is “100% making me better and 100% helping me get back to a level of play that I believe I can play at.” Mickelson, who is playing with Cameron Tringale, Brendan Steele, and James Piot, believes that by helping these young players, he is sharpening his own skills.

It’s not just the mentoring that is helping Lefty though. He also believes that his game is improving in several areas. “My driving is getting significantly better, my putting is getting significantly better, and the areas of my game are getting much sharper,” he said. Mickelson has been through a tough patch lately, not getting the results he wanted for quite some time. But despite that, he hasn’t lost faith in himself and truly believes that his game is on an upward trend, and he’s feeling more confident than ever.

Mickelson’s continued strive for success in his game

It has been reported that Mickelson’s agreement with LIV Golf was valued at approximately $200 million. Looking ahead to the next few months, there are plenty of exciting golf events on the horizon, including some major championships. The three times Masters winner is eager to participate, compete, and contend in these upcoming tournaments.

In his recent interviews, Phil has expressed gratitude for the unique opportunity he has to continue playing and achieving in the sport of golf at his age. He feels fortunate to have the ability to accomplish things in the game that many others may not be able to experience later in life. “I’ve kept myself in good shape, I have been fairly injury-free, and I’m able to work and practice the necessary amount to play at a high level,” he said.

The LIV golfer’s dedication to golf is truly inspiring. He’s never content with his current level of play and is always seeking new ways to better himself. His latest venture into mentoring young players is a testament to this. And if his recent success on the golf course is any indication, it seems like he’s onto something.
