Pat Perez appears to be returning to his old self. One of the best sights in the world of sports is a player’s return to their former glory. Coming back after a rough patch with reinvigorated energy is not just inspiring but also thrilling.

Perez had had his share of struggles before he joined LIV Golf last year. He has taken a while to get truly going but now he appears to be at the top of his game. In the London event earlier this month, he played his role in 4Aces GC’s triumph in the team event. In the Players event, he finished 7th and did his bit to perfection in regard to the team’s aspirations.

Pat also unleashed a new look ahead of the Valderrama event and, in his own words, feels like a new man, looking to contribute more and more to the team’s cause.

New look doesn’t take long to yield results

If there is one thing the golf world knows about the former PGA Tour winner is his luscious long hair. But with a new energy, he decided to change his appearance. The player was seen wearing a mohawk in a video shared by 4Aces GC on Instagram ahead of the Valderrama event in Spain.

“We have guys that are always going to play well. Being able to step up my game enough this year to actually help and contribute for one, it’s been satisfying for me. Last year, I didn’t do anything, which kind of sucks. I knew coming into the season I had to be a better player than I was, and I’ve worked hard at it to try to help a lot and contribute,” Perez said after the London event.

After the triumph in London, Perez will now be participating in the LIV Golf Invitational Series at The Old White at The Greenbrier, USA next month.

A rollercoaster ride for Pat Perez

Pat Perez turned pro in 1997 and went on to win four professional tournaments, including three on the PGA Tour. He also finished T6 in the 2005 PGA Championship. However, he couldn’t catch the eye in a big way, until LIV Golf happened to him.

After great success last year that saw them win five team titles, this year too has been good for the LIV team. Their first triumph came at LIV Golf Adelaide in April. Then at London they won their second team trophy of the season. And Perez played his part in a significant manner. The new hairdo has led to a new attitude and it appears he is ready to turn his career around. In the video below, Perez can be seen talking passionately as to how he feels after contributing to the team’s win in London.
