Leading up to the 88th Masters, the Augusta National will be hosting the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Starting on April 3rd, the event has been underway at the Champions Retreat Golf Course, a few minutes away from Augusta National. While everything seemed to be going well for the first round, a sudden mishap soon impacted its course.

Obstructed due to inclement weather in Augusta, Georgia, Thursday’s round was delayed by one hour. With the venture overcoming its abrupt setback, now, the biggest question is: Will the weather hamper its second round as well? Or will the amateurs get to be on the field?

Instead of starting at 8 a.m. ET, the round was eventually delayed to 9 a.m. on Friday. However, for round two, the weather looks better than yesterday. Scheduled to start at 8 a.m. and per AccuWeather, the forest states that the sky will be cleared. Additionally, they mentioned that it might be quite sunny, unlike Thursday’s scenario.

Moreover, with 0% cloud cover in the morning, there will also be a zero percent chance of precipitation in the area. As per reports, the wind will be blowing from the west-northwest, noted to be at 8 mph. The temperatures will range from 59 F to 65 F throughout the day, though there might be no cloud cover in the morning. However, by afternoon, it can increase to 16%.

Will the second round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur get overshadowed by clouds?

Now, on the question of whether there is a chance of a round delay, there shouldn’t be any. The sun is set to rise around 7:10 a.m. ET and by the time the round starts, it should be quite clear at the Champions Retreat Golf Course for the golfers to tee it up on time.
